[Closed] Personal Statements on uni application forms?

I just wrote a load of bullshit about how my "personal qualities" made me suited to the course or something - got me in ok 😆

You should include other interests, past expieriences, courses attended, how you have come to be interested in the course you've applied for, where you hope to go with the course.

I'd not worry about it too much. I wrote a real word perfect personal statement for my current course, and the admissions tutor told us on the first day that he didn't read a single personal statement, but went purely on grades.

given that you have done other stuff with your life, take examples that show how you will be able to adapt coping with uni and work, things you have done which make you suitable for the course and any job that may come from it. If you are a "mature" student make sure you use examples that show your previous experiences as positives. examples examples examples

dont worry too much about it, bear in mind the average UCAS personal statement will either be

a) I enjoy socialising with friends (getting battered)
b) I went on a journey of self discovery in Thailand (I got stoned for 3 months and pulled more rich daddies girls than even I'd admit too)

Write a load of bullshit because in reality, the're not going to go all Jack Bauer on you and interrogate you on it with hot pokers and tooth extractors if you get in!

Yes, but that doesn't mean there is a huge demand for places. They want the best people to make the University look good. When Demand > Supply, you get to be picky.

Just write a load of shit,nobody pays any attention,they just want your money and students on the books so they can claim back off the governmnet.

Oh and learn how to spel school, as youre going to be a bit stuffed trying to spel univercity, 🙂
