Thanks to those that have helped with the Mac vs PC question, lots of well mannered, reasoned responses.
I think I'm coming down on the side of sticking with the PC.
There's only really PC World and Currys locally, which are certainly convenient to just pop into, but it looks like I could do better on-line and be able to tweak the spec.
I get plenty of Dell flyers - worth a punt?
I understand that Mesh computers are no more, but what about the likes of PC Specialist, Dino PC etc? Any particular reccomendations?
Or finally, buy the parts and build myself?
What you gonna use it for?
I'd always suggest custom, or at least a custom build from a reputable builder, if you need any kind of specialist machine. If it's just for internet browsing, a bit of word processing and not much more, then any cheapo box will do pretty much.
Also depends on your budget too. Can get decent performance in a tower for relatively little these days, but then if you need a proper powerful processor, GFX card and a meaty PSU, the price is going to ramp up significantly.

I would certainly use them, or Dell, over PC World.

They delivered quickly, the site tells you if things don't match up, and makes life easy when choosing your setup. There's a forum and live Novatech assistance.
Very happy with my purchase and will use them again.
