Hi All,
I wonder whether some of the IT folk on here can answer the following question...
I'm trying to run a computer game. It loads fine, but will not 'launch' becausde the "side by side configuration is incorrect". So, is this easy to fix, or should I take take the game back to the shop?
(Have tried running the game on two computers with the same response. Both are Vista - fully updated with service pack two etc and both meet the game system requirements.)

Try typing "sfc /scannow" into an elevated command prompt (ie, right click and choose Run As Administrator) and see if it finds anything.
This system was designed to avoid an issue known as DLL Hell on earlier versions of Windows; for the most part it works but when it doesn't, it's a nightmare to fix.

Problem finally solved with the latest patch (just took a while to find it).
