Hi all,
On another unrelated forum, it seems several of us have been scammed to a total of several hundred pounds - paypal funds sent, goods not received, no reply to correspondence.
It's only been a week (so not jumping to conclusions yet) but something smells fishy.
Do I remember a similar thing happening here, resulting in a prosecution being made? How did things proceed from the initial twigging of things not being right? Who did people contact to lodge complaints? (Police, Small Claims Court, etc)
If I got hold of the IP used to make the original forum 'for sale' post how far would that get me?
Thanks for any info.
Just in case.
If you did paypal (not as a gift) then you should be able to persue through there?

I don't think it ever got that far, plenty threats but then it went away.

not too far
OK, ta.
People on the forum are saying that Paypal dispute is only effective if it's an ebay transaction. Not sure if that's true, as I've never had to lodge a complaint before.
Cheers for the replies.

i had someone who bought somthing off me on E bay in Sweeden try to screw me over!
Item shipped tracked even though he would not pay extra for international shipping. Month later he starts sending threatening e mails saying he will visit my property if not refunded and the item was never recieved. Luckily all was tracked so e mailed him the details..
Low and behold never heard from again! There are some arse's out there be warned! I think e bay is getting more and more dodgy!
