We will be in touch
Ok someone wants to buy something from me. I send the goods only to a verified address with tracking/insurance? Sent as 'goods'. Its not a ebay auction- just a straight forward classifieds sale.
What if the buyer decides to scam- or change mind etc. Can they claw the money back with no recourse from me?
If it's anything like ebay (and I would hazard a guess that it is) then yes they can altho they won't get their money until paypal get confirmation that the postie has ATTEMPTED delivery.
If it's an electrical item like a phone or something, make sure you take pictures of the IMEI so that if they reject it and try to send a different, battered item back, you can nail 'em.
Not electrical- bike part. £100 worth.
Get proof of posting and send it via a tracked service. Make sure that it's insured for loss or damage. Keep the paperwork for a good month or three.
Photograph any distinguishing marks on the goods and get an overall picture (make sure it's clear, well lit and in focus).
If the buyer claims damaged goods, at least that way you can show that you've gone some way to retaining evidence that it was in good condition when sent, and you can prove that you sent it.
Got it/cheers.
