I sold an iPhone on eBay and have just had a message from Paypal that the money will be held in pending for 21 days.
Is this normal practice? I've been selling on eBay for over 10 years with 100% feedback so I'm not new or a risk so I can't see a reason to hold the money.
Seems like the buyer will have the phone and my money. It isn't a lot (£55 total), but I still feel I may get done over.
There's probably a great deal of fraud around the sale of Iphones, so eBay/Paypal are holding off sending money around the banks until it's all completed.
You need your buyer to put up good feedback quick; hopefully he's honest and the phone is OK.
Otherwise all kinds of poop will commence.
I would not have sent the phone until the Paypal money was cleared, but I'm rather cautious.
