Passed my Driving Test Today!!!

THE most nerve-wracking experience of my life so far, (my maths teacher reckons getting married is worse).

I got dropped off at home by the instructor, phoned up the insurance company, wasted a bit of time so i'd miss double german and then drove to school.

When I arrived at school it was break - I went into the common room and then had to go back to the carpark with about 20 friends who were eager to see Vini (The Mini). The rest of the school day was pointless because I was up on cloud 9 Definitley this best day of my life! 😛

Now the learning begins...

I passed my test last March, after it was delayed once and I failed once. Little bit older than you at 30, but it is a great feeling to hear those words 'congratulations, I am happy to inform you....'

Especially when you have convinced yourself you have failed already.

Congrats!

Don't be daft 🙂

Just a good Dad. I was Lucky in the fact that I got the car from the garage I work at. But I payed my insurance this moring, and it was...

£660.22 TPFT (plus £1.50 charge for paying with my debit card)

It certainly saves spending £4500 for insurance on a corsa 😀

Sadly, the way you drove today will probably be the best you ever drive.

As a recent passee, I can confirm that is true.

Well done.
Having wealthy parents is when you are bought a Lotus Esprit for your 17th birthday. 😯

It's a classic mini (on classic insurance). My Dad has tried to put put me off them so many times. But when I discovered the insurance was so cheap compared to the other quotes i'd been getting, it was the only way i'd be able to afford to drive.

With the insurance so low, I was able to afford a set of wheels, and a stainless steel exhaust system at a recent mini show.

P.S. it's the coolest car at school 😛

Still wondering that myself. Is it a new car with an insurance deal or old mini so classic insurance?

If it's an old Mini that's been anywhere near the road in the winter, I would imagine that there is only about 60% of the original car to insure. 8)
