Not the usual someones parking in my space drama but something suspicious going on.
We live down a quiet side street in a village and theres a shady spot where a car always parks. A car will be parked and not move for a week or two then it will disapear and be replaced by another. A person drives up person gets out swaps the cars and drives off. Ive checked a few and so far only one has come back as having tax so somethings not right. Dodgy wanabe mike brewer type or being used for nefarious purposes?

Different cars same driver every time ive seen them, never the same car twice. Always the sort of low rent banger that youd use for bangernomics on a buget. Currently a v6 omega before that a fiat sedici a battered bmw 3 series etc,.

Sounds like it could just be a trader, buying and selling cars?

Probably one of the Autotrader "private" sellers who is really a trader working from home.

Potentially this. Report it to the non-emergency 101 number, no harm done if the police check it out and it turns out that there's an innocent reason.

Probably a drop of for a drugs supplier, big bag of gear in the boot, park it up for a bit to make sure your not being followed, then hand the keys over to your customer at a later data so he can pick it up when you're clear of the area - either that or a car dealer 😉

Do you live anywhere near an airport? Could be one of the cheap offsite company's parking their excess vehicles

Nowhere near any airports. I think it's a dodgy car dealer dodging tax.

A few months ago a car would park up (on double yellow lines) outside the office. Three young guys in hi-viz jackets as occupants. They'd hang around for a while then drive off.

One morning the local news reports that a disused warehouse about 100m along the road has been busted and a large number of cannabis plants seized.

The car didn't appear again. Until about a month later the same guys in the same car parked up again for a couple of days.

It's the only spot a car parks on the road. The driver trying not to be noticed draws attention aswell. Throw in being a mechanic I notice dodgy vehicles.

Not worth wasting your time. sounds like the cars not there long enough for them to do anything about it. Usually takes 3 or 4 weeks to do anything.
There was one parked in a disabled spot on a main road in Torquay for 4 weeks. Had 8 parking tickets on it and was clearly abandoned. Tax and Mot were 4 months out of date .

You should stake it out and follow them and solve the mystery.
