I’m Looking for a place to park a Berlingo car for about seven days at the start of June in Contin or around the surrounding area so I can go bikepacking the northern loop of the Highland Trail 550.

I don’t want to upset anyone by abandoning the car close to someone’s house nor do I want to park up the roads in the woods car park where it would be less safe. Any suggestions welcome , thanks in advance

Contin and Mrybank are local to me, to be honest neither are ideal for parking. Both are small and quite  linear villages without much capacity for vehicles and your car will 100% be clocked if its there that long.

Personally I would head to Dingwall instead and choose one of the larger free car parks where nobody is going to notice and always have other cars to disappear in. You could then ride back along the (largely) complete peffery way to strathpeffer and then round to contin.

Park outside what used to be Square Wheels in Strathpeffer.
