I'm in Paris for a week next week. Working in the day but fancy not just boozing every night when I could be enjoying the city. Any suggestions?
Where in Paris are you staying and what kind of stuff do you like doing in other cities? Coulee Verte is always a pleasant walk but might have a few more suggestions.

Ah yes. I would recommend a boutique hotel in Pigalle and a sunset amble around the Bois de Boulogne is a must for every discerning traveller wishing to complete the day with a happy ending.
Cycling related, we had a lovely amble out to the Bois de Vincennes on the promenade plantee (which I think is the same thing as the coulee verte above?) then sat watching riders on the old school concrete velodrome. Lovely.
Staying with spitting distance of the tower
Walk along the river up to Concorde. Go up and through the Jardin Des Tuileries up to the Louvre. Then through Palais Royal, and I mean through it (gardens). Come out Rue des Petits Champs and carry on to Place Vendome then perhaps a bit of Rue de Rivoli up to the Crillon, turn right into Rue Cambon or that next one. Or go up the Champs Elysees and either Avenue Montaigne or round the Trocadéro. A couple of hours by foot.
Borrow a bike and pretend to be Cavendish / van Aert / sprinter of your choice.
More fun with traffic. Probably.
Stalingrad and a wander along the Bassin Villette is pleasant on a nice evening from memory. I’d suggest Pere Lachaise cemetery but unless you finish work early it’ll be shut. Ground Control is kind of neat if you want some hipster food. Cent Quatre too but like the cemetery I think it shuts reasonably early.
Depending on what work expect you to do for food and what your allowance is there are some incredible places to eat in the city too.
I always liked a cruise up the Seine but tbh the last one I went on wasn’t much bottle.

Particularly if you like the smell of piss. But as a respite from that you can eat at Hotel du Nord, which is fun if you’re a fan of old films.

More seriously, the Arc de Triumph, Sacré-Cœur etc. are well worth seeing.
And have a steak cooked "bleu" or if you want to be mistaken for an American well done with ketchup (my friend Jo is a big, loud Canadian who is frequently mistaken for an American doing this, I suspect he may be doing it on purpose)
