When the BBC exit poll suggested the Lib Dems would only have 10 seats, Paddy Ashdown said the results were rubbish and if they were proved to be correct he would eat his hat.
They have 8 seats with only 9 left to declare.

Yes I saw both of those. Lets see whether they keep their word. Ashdown did say it would have to be a marzipan hat.

Originally he said he'd eat his hat but this morning when to be fair to him he appeared with Andrew Neil again, he changed it to the marzipan hat.
I don't think he fancied the tweed one AM had put in front of him.
