I've been waiting for nearly 2 months for my P45 from my old employer, they say they are waiting for HMRC but sounds BS to me, anybody know is there is something i can do to get things moving?. Cheers.
If you were with the same company for all of the last tax year, I can't see why they'd need to wait for anything off HMRC
I work up to the end of may and had worked for them for 13 years so yeah im not sure what they are waiting for....
Call their bluff - ask them for details of the problem with HMRC so that you can call up and sort it out yourself?
was thinking about it...but still deal with them so could do without the possible aggro.

I can't see HMRC needing to be consulted for any of those
cheers, thought it was a bit of bs, will get onto them with a few "questions" to see what is happening.
marcus7 - as per uplink the details your employer needs for your P45 they will have themselves so there is no need for them to wait for HMRC that is 'Bollox'.
Tell them you want your P45 within the next 5 days or you will contact HMRC to let them know they are with holding it from you. If they don't give it to you then you will have a problem with your next employer, if you can't give them a P45 they will have to put you on an emergency tax code.
