A man whose pedal fell off his bicycle and a woman who wanted a lift were some of the recent calls to 999, Cambridgeshire Police has said.

The mind boggles at that list.

Further googling turns up some utter lunacy.

Eating too much kebab? That's definitely STW non-bike riding territory.

You mean I can't eat kebabs on a ride?

Not without a bespoke titanium kebab/keburger adaptor, installed by a qualified professional.

A man whose pedal fell off his bicycle

I hit a bus once thanks to a broken pedal spindle. Sat at traffic lights alongside the bus, we both pulled away, spindle snapped, and I toppled into the side of the bus and slid to the ground. Car behind me fortunately stopped. A woman on the bus thought I'd gone under the back wheels - apparently screamed so loud the driver thought I had too. Not sure who was more shaken up. DMR pedal too 😳

All I can contribute is thank the deity of your choice that all references to pedals are spelt correctly!
