I'm planning on heading up to Langdale tonight. Does anyone know if you can get 24hr parking in the National Trust car-park opposite The Dungeon Ghyll ?
Not directly answering your question but last time I was up there I paid a tenner to park the car for a couple of nights in the campsite up near the old dungeon ghyll. We told them we were heading off to another campsite.
Last time I was there I left my car overnight in the car park over from the ODG. But I'm a NT member, so may have just ignored everything and abandoned it there.
The campsite at Chapel Stile has overnight parking for a few quid
Might not get up there untill 11pm ish, so agreeing something with a campsite may not be feasible, otherwise this would be my preference. Im also NT, so assume the parking is free ?
Parking is almost always free for members on NT car parks, yes. There's a few exceptions but not many. 99% sure I didn't pay anything there.
Make sure you've got your sticker displayed, ofc.
