I was in the newsagents on Saturday morning when a woman walked up to the counter with a copy of Cycling Weekly she must have been buying for her husband. The following conversation ensued, between her and the woman behind the counter

"Oh God. Not another cycling widow"
"erm... yes. Why? I gather you are too?"
"Yes. And the bloody thing starts today as well doesn't it? Thats it. I won't see him for 3 weeks. He'll be glued to the bloody telly or out on his bike. He's always out on his bloody bike anyway!"
"Mines the same. Every available opportunity. I wish he fussed over me as much as he does over those bikes!"

There then followed a pause. The woman behind the counter looked thoughtful for a few seconds, then said:

"He's got a fantastic arse though!"

The other woman enthusiastically endorsed her view about the benefits of cycling to the male physique

I was s****ing away to myself. So there you go chaps (and girlies actually). Use your firm bumcakes as a justification for disappearing out on the bike yet again 🙂

LOL. I took the nephews g/f out for a ride a few weekends ago and she was apologising and grumbling that she rode so slowly until I pointed out to her that one of the advantages of not being the fastest rider is that you get passed by fitter, faster riders and then at least you get to admire 'the scenery'. And just on cue, two delicious lycra clad chaps rode past. She was MUCH happier then about going slowly.
🙂
