My daughter is being referred to an orthodontist to look at her severe overbite. The dentist has suggested surgery after puberty is the likely outcome (my daughter is only 9 now). As a concerned father I was hoping to find any experiences you STWers may have of this...?
Pain
Complications
Success / failure
Etc...
Thanks
I was referred when I was younger for something similar (obviously don't know how severe your daughter's is) but I chose not to have the surgery. Now 33 & never had an issue with it not being done.
Thanks for the feedback. She has a 14 mm overbite, but her front teeth sticking forward account for a lot of that, which I guess can be corrected with braces.
