I've having to take cut in my work hours due to the current financial situation and have applied for another job (carer) elsewhere to pick up the slack.
It turns out the people that placed the advertisment are an extremely large national outsourcing company supplying labour to clients. Part of the paperwork is a 6 page long PAYE 'contract' (essentially a terms an conditions document). It's fairly meaningless to a legal layman like myself (although I can see that it describes wages/hours/holidays/notice etc.) and I can't afford to get a solicitor to work through it.
Outsourcing seems failry common these days and I may be being paranoid but I have no knowledge of what the job entails yet and I'm nervous about signing anything in case it turns out to be something that's just not me. If I sign something and it turns out to be a nightmare job, can I just walk away?
