[Closed] Outlook Express and Live Mail

A friend has a one year old laptop running Live Mail with a BT broadband account and BT email account. The laptop sends and receives all emails just fine.

He also has a workstation running Windows 98 with Outlook Express with which he accesses the same email account. Outlook Express is not sending/receiving emails properly.

Is there anything I can do to help fix things?

Do I need to somehow check the settings of each to be sure they haven't 'changed'?

Is there a way to synchronise the Outlook Express and Live Mail so both show all in/out emails?

Define "properly."

You'd have to use IMAP instead of POP3. TBH though, if this is what you want to do, it'd be a lot simpler just to use webmail.

(also, good god, that's a 14 year old operating system; even *I* stopped using W98 a couple of years ago)
