Hey.

There's a chap on eBay selling packs of out of date Loctite products, including the blue one I want (and the anti-seize I already have!).

Will this stuff work, or should I buy elsewhere with a use by date that's sometime in the future?

Thanks!

Problem is, if it's crap, then you're stuck with it.

From experience with mastics and silicones, they do go off wether sealed or opened.

Why not just buy a tube of the blue 248 in date from halfords for about £8.99 or somewhere else if you can find it cheaper? It's only going to get older and they will probably last you a long time.

edit: £6.99 now, it's gone down: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_199363_langId_-1_categoryId_255230

Thanks all - it turns out I need primerless blue loctite which is 243 not 248, so it's kind of moot. That said, I remain tempted!
