Not had my hands on an otterbox, but can vouch for the Case Mate - could be forgiven for thinking it's actually part of the phone it's so slim, has a nice tactile feel and has saved it from a drop to tarmac. Use with any brand screen protectors, although I think it comes with one or two in the box.

If you get your phone exposed to dirt, take it off and clean it occassionally though, as granules get between the case and the phone and scratch it.

Got a Casemate Tough for my Galaxy, great case - adds some thickness and weight but that's just right IMO as the Galaxy felt too light/fragile without it. The fit is superb also. Didn't bother with the screen protector, the supplied ones were a joke.

use Otterbox defender on my iPhone, pretty good survived many drops unmarked. Is plastic case with rubber cover, as above I take it out to give bit of clean now and again. Usefully has integrated screen protector.

I bought Otterbox Defender and a casemate for my Desire - both were on offer on play.com for 15 quid each. Defender is chunkier but I think offers more protection. Casemate is much simmer but didn't feel as tough as the Otterbox.

They both offer dust and shock protection to a degree but both don't offer any water protection. Defender I think offers more shock protection as it is chunkier.
