Following the need to claw a deposite together for a house, i have to sell my much loved T5, imho it is THE bike transporting van.
Its a 2005, 85ps 1.9 Tdi. It has full service (VW) Service, and not due another till next year (interim). I have all the original booklets/wallet etc. I am the second owner, the 1st was lloyds tsb as it was a finance/lease van, a chap had it who installed chair lifts! (like stannah) so it has never been worked hard. I carry surfboards, bikes and the dog, that is all. It has almost done 105,000 miles and is just out of warrenty from the van centre where i bought it. It has no noticeable marks and would say it was mint, outside and in.
It has:
A/C, PAS, Traction control, winder windows, and all the stock things
Plus things i did: Full proper smooth colour code and ad sportline style spoiler, Front fogs, £40 of halfords best headlight bulbs, clear side repeaters, silvertec front indicator bulbs(devils in the detail!) stainless handles (all three), a rear stainless skid plate (bumper protector, £80!), chrome mirror covers, decent red/black cloth seat covers, front chrome grille covers, JVC dvd headunit, Flush bumper mounted reversing camera, Ply/carpeted sides, vinyl chequer ply flooring. 18'' alloys (£300) with Continental tyres up front, bridgestone rear (alomost £750 on tyres) plus the steels with near new Michelin tyres (all four). The van had new brakes all round 5k ago.
It runs perfect without any niggles what so ever...
Think that's about it!

Would come with normal plate, not my one!
So fellers, what do you think?
Cheers!
Is that ET in the back?
Ha Ha, like i say i carry the dog! He can be included in the valuation as he's being a pain in the arse today!
Slightly difficult to say with all the mods, I'd be asking about £7.5k as a starting point I reckon. The problem you'll have is the 85bhp engine, most people who want a stylish van will want more power than this.
Yeah i would agree with the 85bhp, but to be honest for me the economy won for me, the 2.5's are damn thirsty. I did have a quote for £300 to get it up to 115bhp with a local superchips engine tuner, not sure if it would be worth doing that? It really would be nippy then, Its actually quite nippy around town and buzzes along on the motorway, its just the hills when carrying loads of bikes/mates!
Have you tried it over on the t4forum?
Around 6-7000 I would have thought, maybe a bit less for the dodgy plates 😉
Dodgy plates, checky bugger! That's my name! (Jay) LOL, 21st birthday present a few years ago, so they will stay with me, it will be VO05FYH!
It is up on the other forums, there's just more traffic of knowlegable people here.
Cheers guys.
My 2.5 130 bhp used to do 40mpg to a tank, worst i got was 37 I think.
£300 for a remap is pretty steep. Try SP tuning, will be nearer 200. They've done 2 vans for me with good results. To be honest though if you've not done it yet I wouldn't bother spending the cash.
Ahh cool, i did think £300 was a lot, but then here in the SW prices for everything seem more than most other places. I could travel and get it done, but i will leave it up to the buyer. Not really worth my while. Yeah, i get excellent economy out of this, way over 40mpg, get approx 80 miles to £10 of diesel! Probably go for something cheap but fun like a golf 180 turbo, pick them up for around 3k.
Cheers steveh
Jay
