in our house we buy the 4 rolls for 40p own brand stuff which is.....erm 100% recycled (hopefully not from old bog roll!), absorbant and doesnt feel like grease proof paper. I'm always amazed that folks will pay so much for a fraction of a gram of aloe vera to immediately throw it away.

I was surprised but the 'value' stuff meets all my bottom wiping requirements (no finger breaking through accidents).

My mother, buys the most expensive, ultra velvety soft, quilted lavatory tissue ever to adorn her W.C.

We on the other hand have the cheap re-cyled, own brand stuff.

Same jobby (see what I did there) for both.

Middle of the range. If it's shiny, it's too cheap.

Wouldn't that indicate a problem with your diet?

Too much risk of 'breaching the hull' with the cheap stuff. Anyway, were from the posh end of Barnsley, I often use a swan or an ermine to wipe me arse on.

as a student i discovered that 24 rolls of toilet paper from lidl for around £2 lasted about the same amount of time as 8 rolls of middle quality from tesco... for around £2.20, the Tesco stuff felt alot nicer too!

I'm surprised some people on here need to take a dump. There's normally so much sh1t being spouted that I thought it would have been enough to completely evacuate the body by that method alone.

We use the fancy stuff. What's wrong with a little luxury?

She must be hard as nails if she wipes with that leaf.

I was dubious to begin with but when buying my own (as a student) I use sainsbury's basics!

Won't use the equivalent tissues ( when I have a cold though, (or the basics meat come to think of it...), just their regular own brand stuff - I have standards! 😉

Lidl own brand 10 rolls for £2 here...

Used to insist on half decent bog roll, most cheap stuff just breaks on contact with one's arse normally! The Lidl cheap stuff is significantly better than other brands I've tried, and 10 rolls lasts plenty long enough. It's not the softest, but I'm more worried about getting a stinky finger, and it does a good job of making sure that doesn't happen!
