MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
As above, just had a new kitchen fitted and it has an integrated washer dryer. Following lots of problems with a washer dryer in the last kitchen I'm wondering if Calgon a) does what it says on the box
b) is needed in the Merseyside area - is merseysides water supply hard enough to require something like Calgon?
Call the water board and have them tell you how hard the water is and whether they recommend additives.
Also you could check the user manual and see what that recommends.
We use Calgon in ours and our water is reasonably hard (East Anglia). Not sure if it's worth it or not though.
Calgon's not exactly cheap & you'd probably be better off saving up the money you spend on Calgon towards buying a replacement machine when the non-Calgon one packs up. We did try the supermarket equivalent for a while, but it doesn't dissolve as easily so tends to sit in a soggy lump in the drawer.
