Got a 1.2 petrol. For its size it carries a ton of stuff and it isn't too bad to drive.

I'm looking at one too - interested in people's thoughts. I like the idea of the diesel one - £30 a year road tax.

Ours is the family run about and pram carrier. Ideal.

Not a niche motor by any means but v. practical, spacious and cheap to run.My 8 year old 1.4 TDCI still does 60+ mpg no problem, only had to replace the exhaust in 5 years of ownership and compared to my previous petrol Golf and Mondeo the road tax saving alone has been a grand.I drive sensibly and stick to speed limits so "umph" not necessary but as quick away from the lights as most I've driven. Not the quietest at motorway speeds but just turn the stereo up, Lots of other good value cheap to run motors on the scene since I got mine so can't really compare.

had a fiesta 1.4tdci - will be same engine I expect as Fusion - best car I ever had.

Got it with 5k on the clock - got to 130k in five years with hardly anything going wrong then became a money pit so got rid but was sad to see it go.

don't let 75bhp fool you - torquey as hell and 50mph easy driving around town in an uneconomical fashion.

60-65mph on long runs easy.

Great car. Mega cheap main dealer servicing as well.

Boot space not much smaller than a focus.

Would buy one again in a flash

sorry! 50mph should be mpg!

It can go faster than 50mph - honest 🙂

Hmm.. VAG super eco cars are 105bhp, 75 seems a bit pants.

Ha !.

No, I'm not even going to bother.

We can chat motors at SiTS if you like.
Won't take long.
😀

Not in the equivalent Polo, which would be the like-for-like comparison.

Oh yeah.. see.. I read Focus but it actually says Fusion in the title 🙂

I should've said VAG's cars that are sold as super eco 🙂

Solo I would love to chat motors with an actual engineer who knows what they are talking about rather than a petrol head who just fantasises. However it's looking increasingly unlikely that we will make it to SitS isn't it?
