Sorry but Oslo and cheap are not a happy couple.

Walk the parks and water front... just don't work up an appetite

Good luck

the miniature bottle museum, its bonkers

trip up to the old tv tower/ ski jumping ramp i think you can get there on the tube, you can use tramn tickets on teh tube
vielgland sculpture park, botanical gardens are free

you can go swimming in the lakes out of town in teh summer, can get there by bus i think

buying alcohol outside of bar is a bit tricky dont think u can on a sunday iirc

chineses/thai food is the cheapest option there are some good ones in the asian immigrant part of the city

Vigeland sculpture definitely park worth a visit.

If the weather is nice get a boat out to one (or more) of the islands in the fjord - Hovedoya has beaches, monastry ruins, some fortifications, and a cafe - half of Langoyene is/was a designated naturist beach.

Spent 6 weeks there and never made it to the Viking Ship Museum or Kon-Tiki museum

Viking ship museum and Kon-tiki museum is excellent. I also took a boat trip/ferry out to some of the islands and hung out there for a while. Have a dip in the water etc.
Lovely place.
