Mikewsmith I.e intimidation.
aye from westminster, the banks, big business.
You are Tommy Sheridan and I claim my 5 MCeuropounds
Former Socialist MSP Tommy Sheridan, who has been campaigning for a "Yes" vote, told BBC Scotland: "It is not looking good to be honest. I am feeling almost broken-hearted.
"I feel that the British establishment has mobilised the big guns, they have mobilised the bankers, they have mobilised the billionaires, they have mobilised the supermarkets, they have all been corralled into Number 10 and told to get out there and frighten people and I think that people have been frightened."
bbc1
try bbc parliament, it's on that too.

Glasgow
Not enough.
are you trying to intimidate me there 😉
It's been widely reported from various news outlets but as you say didn't happen. There must be another reason why people were saying Yes when meaning No.
😯
Largest city in Scotland and third largest city in UK votes Yes, unfortunately not enough.
glasgow 53/47%
It's f'ed tbh.
Congratulations no. You've become northern britain. Your Scotland died tonight and you rejected the chance to build something better..
Enjoy getting shafted from westminster.
I'm oot.
Very surprised that 1 in 4 Glaswegians didn't vote after seeing the scenes on the streets these last few weeks, especially with the turnout in other areas.
What happened?
[Having said that, 75% would be high at any other time].
Shafted? 170, 000 Glaswegians said no. Are they idiots then or putting aside emotional unstable thoughts and looking at the facts/pros and cons?
Congratulations no. You've become northern britain. Your Scotland died tonight and you rejected the chance to build something better..
Disagree. Independence wasn't the only answer to the question 🙂
some places in glasgow can get 30% turnourt, so in relation to that it's fair enough, the rise in turnout is apparent on a par with everywhere else.whimbrel - Member

They are called the silent majority for a reason, they are happy to be ruled. Nothing will change.whimbrel - Member

looks like the yougov poll was spot on. 54-46
Decorum.
We can but hope Westminster suffers a smugness overload. The buggers are going to be even more insufferable for the next few days.
Oh the champers will be gushing like a highland torrent today, "Great work chaps! The McOiks swallowed it again! And we made a mint from that little market wobble we set up...As soon as the fuss has died down we'll really show them who's in charge... HOORAY!"
My wife was in Glasgow this week and said the intimidation and abuse from Yes campaigers, directed at those who said they were voting No, or didn't want to say, was scary. And she's from Paisley...
I'm still watching. Looks like I've earned my hangover. 🙂
Can't argue with the results, massive turnout.
It's a victory for democracy even if I don't like the result.
Gordon Brown has swung it IMO.
Only 1/2 million more needed for a No. Back to Salmon claiming it on away goals and devo max, trouble is he needs the rest of the Uk to vote for it.

As has been pointed out multiple times she is wrong 🙂

I hope and think you are wrong. 'Westminster' can't ignore >1m Yessers, and hopefully all UK will benefit.

don't think we will need them tbh
watch them, this is heading for 42/58 or worse imo.whimbrel - Member

Shame salmond doesnt just admit defeat and retire
Good to see common sense is prevailing, missing vital serious answers.....had they answered them even i might have voted yes.
Interesting that bbc world are very yes orientated , yet apparently bbc in the uk are no orientated.
Good to see yes party already throwing out the conspirousy theorys on bbc world.
SCOTLAND VOTES NO (according to the bbc)
I think the fat lady is dropping her mars bars in the fryer and doing her final warm ups. It would take a massive swing to get this back.
I assume though the discussion will run on for another 5 years.
the fat lady sang after the north/south lanarkshire and glasgow results.
We holding out for edinburgh and aberdeenshire! 😆
How many conspirousy theorys with completely coincidental or spurious evidence will appear on facebook in the following couple weeks
couldn't really care less about the result but having that smug grin wiped off fish face is an added bonus.
Oh look, here come all the nasty bastards along to spout their shite.
Sturgeons actually seeming the least bitter of all the yes campaingers interviewed, hardeep singh is in full flow spouting bile
Chill.let the people decide. Let the results do the talking.
Some people are on the pitch, they think its all over...

This is bias. If you want facts, get yourself to Facebook.
Well done Scotland.

I've disagreed with a lot if what you've said tbh. But this is bang on.
Ouch
Wait until the UK opts out of Europe. That'll balls things up.
Well, that's it. No wins.
A clear result and well done to the ordinary no campaigners.
The United Kingdom wins 🙂

Ultimately could do the same thing those who want out are the noisy crowd not the majority. If you look at the options seriously and not in a daily wail way Europe is a much better option. Anyway it's over I'm glad the union has remained having grown up close to in Northumberland I'd be sad to see it become the frontier again.
Tandemjeremy wont behappy. An englishman who voted yes 😀
