Hi, wondered if there's anyone with experiences or recos for ... son is 25, slightly introverted, slightly socially awkward, not a party chap, but a good guy, polite, easy going, not esp curious, happy having a bit of a chat but not deep conversations.  Seems v comfortable meeting new people (workplace or outside) but prob struggles beyond a 15min chat.

Are there any holiday companies that put a similar small group together, with some structure / plans? Not party or sport or high end culture, not too full-on.  It'd be great if holiday opps were a bit more sociable/fun for him, with similar(ish) young people.  Probably 4-7 days, Europe good.

I've met several single people on Nielson holidays.  The environment there is very good because most people are there with a common purpose (in my case it's been the windsurfing and biking but there are other activities too) so there's much more socialising and it's not unusual for singles to be there as not everybody's partner wants to go on that sort of holiday.

Not sure where I heard of this lot but they sounded fun.  I'm 20 years too late to join them though!

Find Your Adventure - The Adventure People

I remember friends having a great time doing Africa Overland type things back in the 90s so assume similar trips would still be good.

A mate of mine in the same position goes on all her holidays with G Adventures. A bit more walking focused but she loves them.

We've done a couple of short breaks with a walking company, and most were single folk on it. We're novices at walking so wanted a guided walk rather than having to plan it etc (wife's idea). Everyone really friendly and all enjoyed it. An activity sort of break is a good idea - there is something to do.

Large Outdoors are their name !

I'm biased (for a couple of reasons), but I'd be looking at Much Better Adventures (as mentioned above). Great company, good people running it, great trips.

What is the definition of not sport?  Inevitably here you will get a lot of active holiday suggestions.  But something like this: https://bessie-ellen.com can be as active of lazy as you want.  There are similar competitors.

I've done a tall shop holiday around Channel Islands and Brittany and used to live and work on a ship. Whilst it's great their is zero privacy and you can't escape people if you don't like them so something to consider before booking one.
