Just entered my details on the organ donation website, so that's one New Years resolution sorted. I should have done it a long time ago.

Now to make good on another resolution and lay off the drink a bit - my organs need to be in some sort of decent condition if they're to be of any use!!

Good one.

I have a pathological fear of needles so won't give blood but they are welcome to slice and dice me however they wish when I am dead and have carried a card since I was 18 (26 years ago).

Always makes me smile...

Why not continue the good work?

Thanks for the link Jamie, unfortunately I'm excluded as I'm over 40.

Echo the bone marrow donation list. If you're already a blood donor, you can get on the NHS register instead (as I am).

Prompted to do this when a friend's wife had leukemia and needed a transplant. She was diagnosed whilst pregnant (happy time turned into a desperate time) - luckily things worked out OK (baby and mum).

Edit: The NHS limit is 49.

Ahh. Didn't know they had a cut off point. Kudos for looking in the first place.
