Anyone done it yet?

I need a bird to feed 14 people... do I need to get on with it, or can I procrastinate for a bit longer?

I'd order now, you'll still only pay on collection - and make sure it will fit in your oven.

my oven is annoying small.... so I'm going to barbecue it 🙂

no idea how it'll turn out, but it should be good for a laugh!

There's nothing like gastroenteritis to get the party started 🙂

If your going to barbeque it:

1. Make sure your barbeque is big enough!!
2. Consider getting it spatchcocked by the butcher!!
3. Have a look at this: BBQ Turkey

Good luck and we want photos!! 😀

Ordered from local farm shop. 6Kg bird. I think it's about £75.

We've already bought our venison for Christmas dinner.

Turkey was just too expensive.
Even so, the venison was a little deer.

BBQ? Would that be of the outdoor oven variety or a proper BBQ with charcoal?

If the latter - brave man and good luck 😉

proper bbq - weber kettle, fueled by hells own fire 🙂

I did a pork shoulder this summer for 5 hours, shouldn't be much different from that; just larger!

If you're based in Surrey (or anywhere in whatever you consider a reasonable drive from there), Surrey Turkeys in Shepperton have done them for me for the last few years. Nice bunch of guys, great product.
