I wondered why my wireless network was struggling, my son is having multi-stream HD video chats with his mates every night, I wouldn't mind but my Christmas songs keep dropping out.

Time to switch on the QoS functionality of your router and de-prioritise his traffic. 250kbps should do him 😉
