C'mon, there's bound to be a few of you, what with the love on the forum for Ms Coren-Mitchell.

I've bought the Mrs tickets for Benedict Cumberbatch in Hamlet next August at the Barbican for Christmas. As the tickets won't arrive until about July, I'm going to get a few bits for her to unwrap on Christmas day that will serve as clues, in an Only Connect stylee, to her actual present.

I have three of the four clues I need, but I'm struggling with the fourth and need inspiration:

??? (For the Barbican)
A bottle of Benedictine
A cummerbund
A Hamlet cigar

Ideas on a postcard please. Or, ideally, on here...

Huh?

You need to get into character before handing them over, obviously.

Not sure about the roses though - bit like saying 'You're dead to me...'.

Well you did ask for Only Connect...

Take two otters. Dip feet in white paint and place on adjacent sides of a red sheet. Turn music on loudly behind each causing them to scurry across said sheet, leaving it marked with a white cross.

Startled otter (Cumberbatch), prints of Denmark?

Characters from Hamlet:

Fortinbras.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
Laertes.

I was going to stick an Osric Tentacles album up next, or a picture of Ving Rhames as Marcellus Wallace.

I really should have gone for Horned Viper.

There we go.

(Salman Rushdie said Robert Ludlum would have called the drama 'The Elsinore Vacillation'. I consider this to be a bit funny. In context.)

Remember the can of fish. It's a Christmas delicacy not to be missed:

To be honest, I was a bit dim and thought the proce I saw was the package price, only when I'd booked did I realise it was per person ๐Ÿ™„

Ah well, that's what credit cards are for. Gusess it's my present too ๐Ÿ™‚

Errrr.... I do get it, obviously, but would you like to explain it for the rest of the class?

A Barbican is a gate outer wall of a castle/citadel or a fortification on a bridge. That's Walmgate Bar in York - I think.

Sticking with the food theme...

A coke can, filled with honey and with a Yorkie dipped in it would give you...

A (chocolate) bar-bee-can (of coke).
