One for the smokerists perhaps - what butane?

Adjacent to the solvents thread,

I've carried a cigarette lighter for years, most recently the turbo jet flame things. Not because I smoke because I'm a geek and I figured that having a source of fire in your pocket is a handy thing.

Long story short, crap butane was a problem and kept clogging and eventually ruining lighters. The best stuff was apparently Maplin's, which I never had an issue with. I'm down towards the end of my last can now, and I can't replace it because Maplin went to the wall in 2015. Suggestions for a replacement brand would be appreciated.

Sarcastic forumites. 😁

Like I said, it's just a handy thing, like carrying a penknife. The jet-style lighters make for a half-decent cutting tool as well.

I have no idea. The current Maplin's is Maplin's in name only, they bought the brandname.
