Well I think it counts as a piece of hifi. I bought a Trio KD 1033
turntable many years ago second hand but never got to use it, until today. I found my old Budgie albums and decided to give it a try. I was very surprised. It works! It sounds really good too. But it does need a new belt, gawd knows where I'd get one from. But even if I did find one I'm not sure how the get the platter off. I can only find user manuals online. Anyone have any idea how best to service it?

probably unhelpful but on my 1980 Michell Focus One you leave the turntable and unbolt motor cover, try ebay - trio kd 1033 (* tick include description)

Usually the platter lifts off the centre spindle. Might need a bit of persuasion to get it off, there is often a plastic or alloy disc under the platter that it sits on, which the belt runs around.

Thanks chaps. A gentle tap with a rubber mallet on the spindle while lifting the platter got if off. New belt ordered off ebay too.
