Evening ladies and gents. Just a quick one. I've come across a picture and curiosity has gotten the better of me and I would like to know what the animal in question is. Cheers for your help ๐Ÿ™‚

A lesser red-crossed square it would appear...

EDIT: some sort of lemur?

Mr. Tarsier, the ninja of the animal world.

I want an army of them, trained to ride ring tailed lemurs into battle

Looks very like a young lemur. Not the famous running sideways one. Maybe a juvenile indri. Or one of his cousins.

#Edit - the pad like fingers are common in indris but the OP photo's may be too pronounced for an indri - I never got to see the toddlers.

It's as sobriety says, a Tarsier. IIRC, it is thought by many that all primates are descended/have evolved from Tarsiers, or very "Tarsier-like" primitive primates.
