Folks,

Last night the unforeseeable thing happened to me. My mouse died after 8 years of intense work. It was my beloved old fashion one that was cable and optical. It was old. I tried to save it by opening it up. It only lasted a while but its health was bad. I paid £8 for it over ebay.

So I bought a replacement this afternoon. It is a super-doper one with high tech printed all over the box. It is a Logitech LX8 Cordless Laser mouse. I have finally arrived at the door step of modern technology for £30 from Curry.

Now no more cluttered and I can surf fast and furious. Batteries included by the way.

There is life after all with cordless mouse.

😆

8 years is good for a mouse. Ours die after about 18 months. I think guinea pigs are the safest bet for fluffy kiddie pet longevity.

If you want to share your pain in detail, ignore the above macho types and carry on. You might even brighten the day (as Pietersen didn't).

I bought a SpaceNavigator 3D mouse a few months back to help with 3D modeling - now I wish I had something equivelent instead of the normal mouse, it requires virtually no movement and works in 6 degrees of freedom (slides in all directions and rotates in all 3 axes). I got SO excited with it, but I had no-one to share my computer peripheral love with - will you love my spacenav too?

How are you going to mark the passing of the last one?
Burial?
Cremation?
Stuffed and mounted on top of the monitor?
Please say you didn't just toss it in the bin.

Woody2000 ... LOL!

cynic-al ... no not this year. Not cheap enough. LOL!

Hairychested ... Pietersen? Is he the cricket guy? Oh dear ... not doing well I guess?

coffeeking ... Yes, like the look of that one. Very unique. I was thinking about it one for a while. Expensive but what really put me off is the cable. I need advance technology that is wireless or cordless ... Yes, share the loveeeee!

😆

You insensitive lot. I've had the same mouse since I built my first computer about 7 years ago. I'll be heartbroken when it pops it's clogs.
