Basically, my sister's in it. I'm recording it on Sky+ so she can watch it when she's over next week, but ideally she'd like a copy to keep.
Any chance anyone can record it on to a DVD for me? Beer tokens/charity donations/cold hard cash available..
Can do, how long is it ?
Can do
How would you be doing that, out of interest?
OP, you can output to DVD from your Sky+ box (obviously dependent on you having the kit).
You could download it from iplayer and burn to DVD

Have a hard drive/DVD recorder linked up to sky Box.
Set sky Box to "copy" and set DVD recorder to Record the output.
Ah, cool.
I'd totally forgotten about the existence of DVD recorders, I was overthinking it. (-:
Neal - cheers, you're a star. It's about 2.5 hours according to the Sky planner.
Is your sister Geri Halliwell?
Set it record on BBC HD. 9:00PM start.

Send me your address and I'll post it Monday.
I have posted the "closing ceremony" dvd on usenet (its not illegal). Its a dual layer dvd (dvd-9) in excellent quality: Video Bitrate 5355 Kbps, audio (without commentary) 192 Kbps. The dvd is burn tested and you can burn the ISO/MDS file with Dvd-decrypter (freeware).
Without commentary? Why would anyone wish to deprive the world of Trevor Nelson?
(its not illegal)
Really? You are up on the law on recording for home use I presume?
its not illegal
Someone should go to jail for that bloody closing ceremony! ๐
It was a TV broadcasting, so it is not illigal ๐
The source is HD 1080p, converted to dvd.

The priority is music, not the voice of that ugly bald guy.

Not illegal to record for home use. Posting on the internet for other people to take copies is not home use.
