Got nearly 400 old (1862 being the oldest penny) British coins. Pennies, halfpennies, florins, half crowns, shillings etc etc etc.

Any (polite) suggestions?? Worth anything? Put them back where I found them?

Not much help....but some of your pennies if black/blackened will have a high bronze content and be worth a pretty penny 😀

Maybe I'll forge my own Olympic medal! As I listen to "Blackened" which I have now put on - thanks for the playlist prompt 😉

Very interesting. I have found a box full of such coins in our garage going back to early 1900s. Could you keep me informed about any dates worth looking for please.

The wife suggest weigh any precious metals in everything else to a charity shop weigh in for scrap or use as baking beans.
