10% of our people are going in the next few months, they did this a few years ago and about 5 months after realised thet the people they let go were important and then recruited loads more people. This is going to be a shakey run up to Christmas.

Yep the only ones who volunteer are either old and sick of it (massive payout) or the ones who can get another job easily ie the ones you don't want to loose. If it's compulsory then nobody will sign off on the massive payout for the old guy who retires/might kark it.
