One of my mates got given a 'special' saddle by one of his female friends, which he promptly put on his mountain bike. He swore by it, said it was the most comfortable thing ever. But by god did it look ridiculous. It was like a big black plastic pouffe. Not only that, but it kind of broadcasted that he may have a problem with his arse. 🙂
Used to crack me up every time I saw it, shallow as I am.
On a serious note though, is there not room for development in saddle design? What's all that stuff about traditional saddles messing with your prostate and stuff?
Concept is sound, putting the pressure on your sit bones and not on the soft tissue in between. Just looks odd.
