For my sins I'll be heading towards Manc Airport later this week from the M6 S. Thinking of short-cutting the M6 J19/M56 J8 section.
What's the traffic like on the A556 past Tatton Park at 7:30 am?

A556 will be the way your nav will take you anyway - can you even get off the M6 at the M56 junction heading towards Manchester???
I've not done it for a few years now but it was always moving and they've improved the big roundabout at the M56 junction now so I'd guess it'll be fine.

Make it just 30mins earlier and you'll be fine. 7.30am is starting to hit the commute-belt time IMO.
