Anyone happen to use/have used this and know any good tutorials? Ideally without having to buy a book on it! I'm having a bit of a look at it as I reckon making myself open for iphone dev may help my job prospects but it looks like it's strangely obscure for the sake of it!
I can't help specifically but I always use these google searches when looking for info on technical subjects as they bring better results than just a standard search.

I learnt using http://cocoadevcentral.com/ (mostly cocoa, but all Objective-C underneath) and just playing around with examples. F-Script is also a good way to experiment once you head down the Cocoa route. If you do go for a book I recommend the one from Aaron Hillegass.
