Anyone with them?

I'm trying to sort out a new broadband/phone package, and an accompanying mobile package if I can get a decent one included. O2 don't include mobile in their land package but still..

At the moment our BT+pipex bill is roughly 47 quid a month, that's unlimited calls and 8Mb unlimited.

O2 do the same package for 25 quid a month including line rental assuming a BT line is already installed. Does that mean I have to pay BT line rental as well?

Then I fancy an O2 Nokia 5800 at 15 quid a month, which seems good.

Any experiences? Or alternatives?
ta.

Free broadband with orange if that helps.

My iPhone is on O2 - I don't think that the iPhone generally has the best reception but I do often find myself with poor signal when outside the city though it's usually useable by waving it around a bit.

Assuming you're using their LLU offering, O2's broadband solution is Be Internet rebranded. The only difference is that it's a fiver cheaper on O2 if you have a mobile with them.

(caveat, this was the case last time I checked, which was a while ago)

I think you'll probably have to pay the BT line rental as well.

O2 mobile reception isn't bad these days; generally, if there's no O2 reception, there's no Vodafone reception either, but that's on nokias not Iphones...

If you have a Vodafone mobile on contract they do home broadband/phone package for £25. This includes line rental, broadband, free calls to land lines at any time and caller ID. They also do a little gadget thing that guarantee 5 bar mobile reception at your home for a £50 on off fee.

Been with them for about two years without any problems.

Keith.

Depends if you use the unlimited side of things. BT will only moan after you hit 10x their monthly limit or go over several times, and we just got BT with free evening and weekend calls, 8meg BB and line rental for a reasonable price, then got £135 back through quidco, which works out at £17.99 a month inc line rental.

I am an O2 customer and I have their 8Mb Broadband package. had it for over 18 mnths, never had one problem with it though the router does sometimes reboot for no apparent reason!

It costs me £25 pm for my mobile
£7.50 for the broadband
£11 for BT line rental

My advice would be to call BT and ask them what they can do. I'm not sure if it would work with BT as a new BB customer, but I know someone who said they were leaving for 02 and BT matched the price for an 18 month contract.
