me.

after borrowing nephew's stunt scooter to use (as i was limping with swollen leg caused by 2 insect bites). forgot that these things don't work like an mbt, so it's not a good idea to whizz down a tarmac path downhill at speed and make a sharp right hand turn.
the stunt peg dug unto the ground and my face and elbow were used as a brake. ouch.
no biking for me now for the next few months. have broken right arm and there won't be an entry this year for any beauty contests ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜ณ

lordy! Get well soon.

This is a bad time to remind me I forgot to send a house warming invite.
So here it is.

Come to our new house on the 31st for a party. Bring your husband and your broken arm.

Ouch, breaking the humerus is no laughing matter I can tell you. No cast, doubly so. Definitely the most painful thing I've ever had the misfortune to inflict on myself.

Did the nephew manage to capture it on video? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Heal soon, heal well.

Blimey, GWS and I'm sure any pics of nbt in "domestic goddess" mode would be appreciated.

To be fair, it sounds like you had a pretty serious injury before you got on the scooter... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Commiserations, anyway, hope it mends quickly

Owwwwww! Sorry to hear that, BH. Reading your post, I was instinctively tensing up and getting that sort of queasy feeling you get when it's all going tits-up, and you know it's going to hurt.
Mend soon, and with no long-term consequences.
Of which I have personal experience. ๐Ÿ™

Yes, I saw the pictures - very impressive!

Must be catching - my collarbone in May, your elbow and just the other night richpips broke his wrist.
I'm such a trendsetter! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Get well soon, meanwhile make the most of bossing Jules around the house!

Oh and samuri, you forgot to send an invite to me too!

I genuinely haven't figured out what's going on in that picture yet.

EDIT: Got it. That's your back, not a leg!

Looks pretty crappy; best wishes.

mcmoonter - slowly but shirley, also got low pain threshold.

i am a very poor patient, who has a thousand things to do (don't all women) and being self employed isn't good. doc said because i'm a manual worker it's going to be about another 8 weeks before i can return to the workroom.

missing all the dry trails too. oh well, lesson learned to stay off nephew's toys and stick to being a big kid on my own two wheeled play things ๐Ÿ™‚

I'd be climbing the walls if someone said that to me. Fingers crossed it gets better sooner.

At least its a credible injury though, being, like TOTALLY rad and sick on your stunt scooter, and all that ๐Ÿ˜‰
