is there any way to find where/if i have a virus......?????
PC really acting up wont boot every time .. getting real slow

Antivirus software? Avast, AVG, both free?

Download AVG and run a scan.
More likely to be stuff you've installed kicking in when you start up. Check Task manager while its running slow and see which processes are taking up all the resources, then google the process name to see what it is and what its doing.
Got hotmail live / msn messenger / skype / stuff like that? Anything set to automatically run on startup will be grinding away

uninstalled MSN/ linve messenger that always was a pain
will go look for AVG assuming a quick google will find it foe me
