Is there a way/tool to set up a continuous search and will notify you if an item that matches is listed? Sorry if this is obvious but I stay away from evilbay as much as possible. Ta.

Yes, do a search, beside the 'search' button, click on 'advanced'.
Lots of settings in there to play with, one of them being to save the search to your eBay.

after entering a search hit the save search button & you'll get email notifications
