Depends whether they are paying from a UK bank account or from overseas and whether it is in sterling or currency. Also is it an electronic transfer? As stated above, if it's in the UK usually should only need sort code and account number. From overseas you will need your banks SWIFT address and your IBAN details, which should be on your bank statments. I had to make a tranfer from my GB domiciled Euro account to a GB sterling account and I could not believe just how difficult my bank made it. I spend 20 years working in international banking and I struggled with the nonsense they were spouting, how anyone else would cope I dread to imagine!!

From UK to UK bank account, just the 8 digit account number and sort code is fine

don't just give it out to anyone on the internet tho, you are leaving yourself open to fraudulent activity
