CRC quotes that they are "the most mechanically efficient ti riser bar possible"

Anybody have any clue what that phrase actually means?

mechanically efficient might be referring to your arms, or something.
Just thinking about it logically, like.

Still - it's you got you thinking about them and you've started a thread on STW "the worlds most popular MTB forum" so some of the marketing must stick, eh?

More of the energy from you pulling on the bars gets transferred to the frame?

Where does it normally go?

I've been sketching out designs for a 110% efficient ti riser bar. I can't say much more about it at the moment as i'm in the process of securing marketing rights.

110%????

Keep up monkey boy. I've got a Turbo version in the wings which will double the amount of mechanical efficiency. I can't say too much about it at the moment, but it's fueled by Torq Gel.

Bending the bars?

Oversize bars and stems are marketed as being more efficient, aren't they?

Yep, it came about from not being able to steer around corners efficently. We've all been in the situation when going round a corner and finding yourself drifting to the outside and running off the trail due to lack of steerage. Well these bars give you 10% more steerage than normal ones enabling you to carry on steering when others bars have dumped you in the undergrowth.

They increase the efficiency by harnessing the composting effect of the marketing bullsh!t

I knew STW would provide a prompt answer
The most efficient way for manufacture/profit...that I understand
Mechanically efficient in terms of...err...least weight to do the job..ummm...hmmm....maybe

Here's a Moots bar on Ebay.

It's narrower.
It's heavier.
It's more expensive.
It has a shim (which will probably creak).

I actually really fancy a Nukeproof Ti riser bar. I am waiting for a tax rebate, and I'm going to buy one when it comes through. Basically because the sight of them makes me want to howl at the moon while squeezing my own testicles.

Right so 'mechanically efficient' here means width, weight, price and acoustics. Now I get it.

LOL! Indeed.

Here's a Moots bar on Ebay.

It's narrower.
It's heavier.
It's more expensive.
It has a shim (which will probably creak).

Here's an Easton bar on CRC.

It's as wide as 99% of people ever need.
It's as light as makes no difference.
It's a 1/4th of the price
It has no shim

Rearrange these words:

sense
money
than
more

Just worth pointing out, but are these bars foldable?

I've got Moots flat bars witha shim and they have never squeaked or creaked ... but yes those bars won;t fit in that box unless the box is actually 100m behind in the photo and theres a major perspective problem !
