Really kicking off tonight in the Highlands. Best I've seen for several years. Intense colours across the sky!

It's foggy down here in Livingston.

How frustrating!

For the first time my photos were the same as the real thing. Mega bright reds and greens, beams of light and a big arcing green dome right up into the sky.

Bloody awesome

Sometimes the photos you take (and the photos you see people putting online) bear no relation to what you see with the naked eye. But not tonight. That was unreal. Nearly 180 degrees of the horizon and flares shooting completely overhead.

Very life affirming.

Sat outside for an hour an a half and didn't see a thing here in Southampton 🙂

We've just been having that conversation - Imagine if we all wake up blind tomorrow!

Weather down here in Chippenham has been pretty dreary all day, so nothing to see, sadly. Might have been better than the aurora display in May ‘24.

Was this incredible on Welsh Boarders. Half the sky looked illuminated green with splashes of red

Pretty stunning up in Aberdeenshire. Though we seem to have been really lucky - friends a few miles away were in fog. IMG_6121.jpegIMG_6118.jpeg

The northern lights certainly know how to put on a show, as seen over Greenland

Another day and another cool display in the Highlands tonight.

Much further round to the north west than last night, which is interesting. Lots of greens and bright bursts, and beams up into the high sky overhead.

I went out twice last night.. Once was nothing between gaps in the clouds, just very faint green towards north west. Second time no gaps in the clouds.
