Looking to do a long weekend break over summer half term (May BH) and would like to go to North Wales so we can do things like Snowdonia train, maybe Electric Mountain & the bouncy indoor place.
Needs to be a beach location, stuff to do with 2 kids (3 & 6), nice views etc.

Any recommendations?

Cae Du - didn't manage to get there last year but its an amazing site for getting away from everything. Decent facilities, fire pits everywhere and can buy wood/scavenge driftwood etc.

Cae Du +1
Went there with family last year on the back of a recommendation on here.
It's a great spot. Was lucky enough to see a couple of dolphins passing-by from the campsite.

It really is stunning. Our only trip there a couple of years ago was in the middle of a storm and it still didn't put us off. Amazing beach if you like rockpools etc and I think the nearest station is about 1 mile walk. I'm sure the owner mentioned some decent riding in the hills behind the farm as well...

Theres also Shell Island as well but I've heard mixed reviews about the place - some saying its stunning and isolated but some saying you get groups of idiots going there.

When friends of ours stayed there the place was full of chavs from Birmingham

Stayed at Cae Du and Shell Island (massive!) - both are peaceful and have great locations.

We walked from Shell Island to Barmouth along the beach, did some SUP and caught the train back up the coast.

Cae Du is great. As well as all the things mentioned above there is some great bouldering to be had there as well.
