Anybody got or recommend them? My birthday's next week, and I could do with a decent waterproof.

they're not great but 'cos they are TNF they sell like hot cakes. The TNF kit sells on their brand name alone not 'cos it's the best quality.
A Marmot PreCip is roughly the same price but much better all round performance in terms of waterproofness and breathability.

Elshalimo correct but the resolve is hyvent with a mesh drop liner still a nice lightweight bit of kit ,marmot precip no lining ,lighter in weight and a great jacket
